Dairy Handlers Contest

If you have a member who would like to be in the Dairy Handler Contest they will need to be at the state contest on May 19th at the Benton County 4-H Fairgrounds 2743 W St Rd 352 Boswell.
Registration will be at 7:30 a.m. in the 4-H building with Mallarie Stookey. At the conclusion of the event students can either be picked up at the fairgrounds promptly before the judging is done or be transported to Harrison High School 5701 N CR 50 W, West Lafayette.

If you have a student interested in this event please email registration to Mallarie Stookey at mstookey@argos.k12.in.us. She will be the contact for this contest.

The winner will represent Indiana in the National Dairy Handlers Contest during National Convention 2018.

Please note: This contest is not a 4-H Event. Anyone participating in the Dairy Handlers Contest will not be able to participate in the dairy cattle evaluation CDE.

This fall we have a wonderful opportunity to provide training to adult and youth 4-H Volunteers through the National 4-H Volunteer E-Forum series! Three different sessions will be offered October 5, November 2, and December 7 from 7-8:30 PM. During each session, virtual presenters will share content; host site facilitators (Extension Staff and/or volunteers) will lead on-site, hands-on activities based on instructions provided; and adult and youth volunteers will interact with each other on-site and with volunteers from across the country via chat pods and poll questions.
