Scholarship Workshop December 4, 2017

We will be holding a scholarship workshop on Monday December 4, 2017 at 7 PM at the Extension Office (weather permitting). If you are a current high school senior and would like more information on scholarships available to apply for, please plan to attend.

Currently, The Indiana 4-H Foundation Scholarship is available to all 4-H members who are presently in High School. It is a one-time, non-renewable award of $500.00 that can be used at any post high school study or training (i.e. college, trade school, or short course) which does not have to be in Indiana.

Current 4-H members who are seniors should have received a letter and application for the above scholarship in the mail. If you did not, or need another copy, please e-mail Angie Smith smith539@purdue.edu to get a copy. Completed applications are to be submitted electronically in MS Word or compatible format by being e-mailed to your county Extension Office or an electronic storage media device (flash drive, etc.) (Attention Kelsey Sajdera- ksajdera@purdue.edu or Angie Smith- smith529@purdue.edu)

Return the completed application to the Marshall County Extension Office by January 25, 2018.

If chosen, winners will be notified at the appropriate time and place between March 1 and May 15, 2018. Funds may be requested upon completing a term of study. Proof of this must be shown in the form of a school grade report or completion certificate.

Checks will be mailed payable directly to the college, university, or post secondary institution unless the request is accompanied by a completion of certificate, in which case the check may be made payable to the individual. For those attending Purdue University specifically, funds will be transferred directly to the student's account with the Purdue Bursar's Office.

Award recipients have 2 years following high school graduation to claim funding.

Other scholarship applications are available online as well. We will have more information and details at our scholarship workshop on December 4.
