Junior Extension Board Position Opening

In 2006 the Marshall County Extension Board added youth member positions. The 2 year terms for these members are staggered, requiring that one youth position be filled annually. The Marshall County Extension Board is now searching for a new youth member!
Qualifications for Youth Board Members:
  • Live in Marshall County
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (to drive to meetings)
  • Be interested in the future of Marshall County and its residents
  • Be willing to gain a working knowledge of various programs offered through Purdue Cooperative Extension Service and through the Marshall County Extension Office and share ideas regarding critical issues facing those living in the county. Programs are categorized with one of more of the following categories:
    • Agriculture/Natural Resources
    • 4-H Youth Development
    • Health and Human Sciences
    • Community Development
  • Attend more than half of the board meetings and functions held each year, which usually involves 5 total board meetings and the Annual Extension Meeting. Meetings are generally held in the evening.
